"Time-Lock" is a whimsical artwork by metal sculpture artist Tapos Das, who began his career from rural Bengal, displaying his works at village fairs. Today he is a gallery artist, much sought-after for his wall mounted works and strand-alone sculptures made of found metal objects, brass, thick copper sheets, wires, iron and wood (base).
This work is a rare contemporary piece, which speaks of time and its relevance. An irrelevance. It is a thought-provoking little work of mixed metal and found objects like locks and bells.
